Rules and Regulations must be maintained strictly.
General Code of Conduct
- College assets must not be destroyed and defected.
- Dress should be sober and decent.
- Trespassers will be highly prosecuted.
- College campus must not be left before 4:00 p.m. without a gate pass issued by the Principal, Teacher-In-Charge, or H.O.D. as the case may be.
Academic Mandates & Attendance
Regular attendance in classes is an absolute must. At least 75% of attendance in the classes is required for appearing in any University Examination and taking part in the Students' Union Election.

- 75% attendance is required for appearing in any University Examinations.
- Students’ attendance is compulsory at the time of holding seminars, lectures, different college programmes, and co-curricular activities.
- Internal Assessment is highly obligatory for the successful completion of degree courses. Students must appear in all class tests for internal assessment round the year.
Board of Residence (Hostel Regulations)
Campus Accommodation
The college has a beautiful hostel with accommodation for 500 boarders inside the campus. It is run under the direct supervision and control of the college. A dedicated hostel committee looks after the interests of the boarders.
Statutory Compliance
Boarders are bound to abide by all rules and regulations of the Board of Residence, Vidyasagar University. Any violation of structural rules will strictly be penalized. General daily programming and rules remain subject to changes.
Subsidized Fees & Deadlines
Considering the benefits of poor and middle class families, seat rent is set at Rs. 450.00 (subject to revision) per month. Charges (excluding meal charge) must be paid at the cash counter within the first week of every month. Defaulters will be fined one rupee per day.
Admission Enrolment
Students intending to reside in the hostel may apply using the prescribed form available in the college office at the cost of Rs. 50.00 at the time of college admission. The decision of the Hostel Committee is final regarding admission.
Registration Changes & Clearances
- Change of Subject: Under special circumstances, a change of subject may be allowed within August every year provided it is duly applied for and on payment of a fee of Rs. 300.00. Such structural changes are strictly guided by existing University rules.
- Transfer / Cancellation of Admission: Transfer or cancellation of admission may be allowed within the date published later on, subject to the payment of all fees for the 1st year. No transfer/cancellation will be allowed after the due date.
- Mandatory Clearances: Clearance must be obtained from all respective concerns (Office, Central Library, Departmental Library, Hostel, Women's Study Centre, etc.) before collecting mark-sheets, pass certificates, or any other certifications from the college.
Rules of Payment & Working Hours
Security Alert: No transaction of fees is allowed anywhere except at the designated college cash counter. Any breach of this transactional security rule is severely punishable.
- Fee-Card Mandate: No payment is processed or accepted without the physical Fee-Card. If the card is lost or missing, a fee of Rs. 10.00 will be charged to issue a duplicate one.
