Cultural Activities

Mahishadal Girls' College observes a rich calendar of cultural programmes throughout the academic year, organised by the students' union together with enthusiastic participation from every department. From the college's much‑loved annual cultural social “Kristi” to the warmth of the Fresher's Welcome, the devotion of Saraswati Puja and the colour of Basanta Utsav, these celebrations keep music, dance, drama and Bengali tradition alive on campus and bring the whole college community together.

College Auditorium / Campus Grounds

The college's flagship annual cultural social, “Kristi”, brings together music, dance, drama and recitation from students across every department. The daylong celebration is the highlight of the cultural calendar, showcasing the creative talent nurtured on campus throughout the year.

The worship of Devi Saraswati, goddess of learning and the arts, is observed with devotion each year on campus — complete with rituals, offerings, cultural performances and a shared meal that draws students, teachers and staff together.
