COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMME

National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)

The National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) unit of Mahishadal Girls' College engages students in meaningful community service, encouraging them to look beyond the classroom and contribute to society. Spread across 4 active units, the scheme presently carries 400 dedicated student volunteers who take part in outreach and service‑oriented initiatives under the guidance of experienced Programme Officers. True to its founding spirit, N.S.S. helps students grow not just academically but as socially responsible citizens.

Development Through Community Service

The core objective of the National Service Scheme is the development of the personality of students through community services. By stepping outside the confines of the classroom and working directly with the community, volunteers cultivate empathy, leadership, discipline and a lifelong sense of civic responsibility — values that shape them into well‑rounded individuals and conscientious citizens.
